Vanity Fair - the Africa Edition

I have just bought my own copy of the much talked about (July) Vanity Fair - The Africa Edition, which just came out, and I must say ... it is worth every over-priced dollar.

Every African should get a copy ... it is a collector's item.

It is our collective story, spectacularly told!

P.S: There are actually 20 different covers: regrettably, I only knew that after I bought the magazine, so I bought the Don Cheadle cover. The Oprah one with George Clooney uploaded here is actually my favourite. You could order a specific cover or an edition with all 20 - and you should!!!

Wanna Come?

The Phenomenal Mo Abudu is recording an episode of the show everyone is talking about! Moments with Mo, which shows on Mnet! There;s going to be an 'Oprah-kind' audience of 50 brilliant women - and I just decided maybe those in blogosphere who grace my blog with their presence might want to attend (think of it like a gift pack for subscribing to my blog!) so I have got some spaces reserved.

If you want to be part of that recording this sunday, send me a mail at chude@justice.com ASAP. I would also really want a majority of that reserved space to be above 30 ...

I will update properly asap - my major deadline is out of the way ... PRAISE the Lord!!!

Oma, Onari - and later

I have been telling everyone this funny story, and I will share it with you ... after two weeks of 'fighting Omawunmi's war', I finally met the girl ... and it wasn't pretty! Sadly.

What a disappointment. Unfortunately, I can't stay long here so I will give you the gist later. By what time I might also have done an interview with her - one I am looking forward to - itis sure to be a battle of wits.

This one thing I will tell you though ... she is spunky. Good thing that. Dont know about the rest of the package though.

Also had an interesting monday with(out) Mrs. Onari Duke, and a blast on tuesday at our mega-brilliant Rubbing Minds at SixDegreesNorth on tuesday. (You can see pictures of the event at www.purefoto.com)

Yours Truly, moderating at Rubbing Minds

Will share all these with you by sunday, hopefully.

Hope you had as great a week as I did, or even greater!

So Timi Won ... Hiss!!!!!

Such a shame that Omawunmi lost the WA Idol show!!! Yes, I deliberately did not add a spoiler warning because I am upset! Afterall you all went and voted for Timi who has a lot of personality yes but not half as much talent as Omawunmi!!!

Of course when I was sending texts to all my friends and family over the week up until yesterday to vote for Omawunmi I knew I was fighting a lost battle but then what did my soul sister, Dido say? "No White flags! I will go down with this ship!"

But seriously do you know that people rooted for Timi without even watching the shows?!?! Seriously. In fact I was in that camp until I went for a live show last week and saw all Oma's performances ... and was blown away. Sadly not everybody was able to see the light!

It's a sad day for Nigerian music when talent fails to win souls!!! Let's have a moment of silence ... Okay so i'm being melodramatic, shoot me!

Disclaimer: I do not know Omawunmi; have never met her, and do NOT have crush on her ... well, that is apart from her great legs!!!! Yes, shoot me!
